1970's Miles Davis?

Throughout the 1970's most critics were tough on Miles Davis for exploring new musical territory and attitude. Looking back, I think it's some of the most daring music ever created. This bead is dedicated to 70's era Miles.

Miles presaged Trip Hop

Last Friday I was at the helm of the office Sonos... until I played this song. I kind of inserted it into the queue in response to a conversation with someone here, but the way he leans on those keys (and it was Davis on the organ here--his chops were too shot at this point in his career/addiction to play trumpet much) proved too much for the majority of my creative dept to handle. Originally on the elusive "Get Up with It" LP, this tune can now be found on the expanded reissue of "On the Corner." To me, it's another example of how far ahead of his time Miles perpetually was.
