The 80's were obviously the golden age of music videos. The rise of MTV coupled with a deluge of talented creatives exploring this new medium made for quite a cornucopia of visual expressions.

I'd love to see this bead explore the good, the bad, and the ugly of 80's music videos. Each of which can be enjoyed for a variety of reasons.

Anti lip-synch video

According to Wikipedia, this video was meant by director Tim Pope as a statement against lip-synching, so includes mostly wildlife doc footage with Talk Talk lead singer Mark Hollis superimposed with his mouth tightly shut or covered with animated drawing.

Of course record label EMI insisted on a redo video (this one was released in the UK) with the band shot performing in front of the footage here. They complied -- and intentionally lip-synched badly.
