Electronic supergroup ABOVE & BEYOND have shared details of their highly anticipated 2016 acoustic album and tour. The album is set for release in the spring of 2016 and will be supported by a tour across three continents encompassing plays in some of the most prestigious music venues on the planet, including the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, CA, Sydney Opera House and London’s Royal Albert Hall, with further stops planned in Chicago, Toronto, Boston, New York, San Francisco and Hawaii. Confirmed dates and venues follow below.
In their most recent promo video, ABOVE & BEYOND (Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, Paavo Siljamäki) teased new material from the forthcoming studio album with a downtempo mix of festival anthem “Hello” from their Top 10 iTunes album We Are All We Need. Simply titled Acoustic II, the new album is a follow up to the iTunes dance chart topping 2014 album Acoustic, and will once again be produced in collaboration with producer Bob Bradley.
Acoustic II will feature acoustic interpretations of some of the biggest hits from ABOVE & BEYOND’s Billboard Dance Chart topping LP We Are All We Need, as well as some of the most popular ABOVE & BEYOND hits from years gone by, including “Alchemy” and “On My Way To Heaven.”
ABOVE & BEYOND’s acoustic project began in 2013 with a short run of shows at London’s Porchester Hall and two-night sold out run at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre--the latter described by Billboard as ‘one of the finest shows in dance music history.’
