That conchord of sound of keyboards and bellows, is the IT instrument again, if it ever was. More variable in style than stylish to wear, artists of all stripes strap on the squeezebox and make music of many genres: Folk, Zydeco, Retro Rock, Vallenato, Tango, Klezmer, Musette, Gawwali, Forró, Bachata, Balkans Russian Bluegrass, World Busker Punk, and Gypsy Gospel. Give it a squeeze.

Milton Nascimento - Ponta de Areia (from A SEDE DO PEIXE)

In Search of Lost Time

Today's Song Of The Day, performed as a mournful instrumental by pianist Wagner Tiso and Milton Nascimento himself on acordeão, from the fantastic 1997 musical documentary A SEDE DO PEIXE, about Milton and his Clube da Esquina (Club on the Corner) cohort. I've been watching it these past couple of days and getting positively weepy.
