That conchord of sound of keyboards and bellows, is the IT instrument again, if it ever was. More variable in style than stylish to wear, artists of all stripes strap on the squeezebox and make music of many genres: Folk, Zydeco, Retro Rock, Vallenato, Tango, Klezmer, Musette, Gawwali, Forró, Bachata, Balkans Russian Bluegrass, World Busker Punk, and Gypsy Gospel. Give it a squeeze.

Kannunkaataja

The use of the accordion is a little more subtle here than in some of their other songs, but this one stood out for me anyway. I've always liked this group, even if they've transformed over the years into a sort of pop-mod-folk mix, with less and less emphasis on the "folk" component. If you compare their earliest shows on YouTube to the recent stuff, it's like they've gone from the Lawrence Welk show to a jazz powercise class. Still, the harmonies can be infectious. Kannunkaataja. Gotta love Finnish.
