Julia Turshen - Radio Cherry Bombe
Conversations with the most interesting women in food
Cherry Bombe magazine only comes out twice a year - which ain't enough - but luckily Julia Turshen hosts the Radio Cherry Bombe show each Wednesday at 2pm where she talks to the most interesting women in food. Julia is the co-author of lots of your favorite cookbooks (Spain w Mario Batali and Mastering My Mistakes w Dana Cowin) and is working on a new cookbook of her own. She speaks with culinary luminaries like Dana Cowin of Food+Wine and last week's episode with Mimi Sheraton (NYT's first female food critic) but she also finds great voices I may not have found before - like this episode where she talks to two of her favorite "women who grow food" - Katy Baldwin, Amanda Marrow of Amber Waves Farm and Julia Sherman, an artist who runs the website saladforpresident.com. Also, I just love the infectious laugh with which Julia punctuates her conversations.
