Tornatore's beautiful portrait of the unsung projectionist
Giuseppe Tornatore's Cinema Paradiso is the first film which came to mind when I thought about this category. It is also kind of a post-Fellini return to living a dream within a reality and feels like an homage to Fellini and an update to the neo-realist everyday experiential realities of Visconti and De Sica characters. The movie focuses on the projectionist, which is refreshing. Beautiful and great film. Ennio Morricone scored the fim too!
