's preliminary sketch of the Guggenheim Bilbao and unlike the precise, straightedge-reliant drawings one usually sees in an architect's portfolio, Gehry's lines are gestural and freeform and hone in on his disregard for specificity in the early design process which is fundamental to his final visions - the energetic abstract creations for which he is known for and can be seen in the final construction of the Guggenheim Bilbao.
