Adam Green’s imagination is a colorful world of witty one-liners, oddball mysticism, childlike wonder, and adult anxiety. In addition to his roles as one half the antifolk duo the Moldy Peaches, a solo artist with nine albums, and a visual artist who's shown paintings around the world, Adam's now wielding his uncompromising vision in film. His second feature, Adam Green’s Aladdin, is a modern take on the Arabian Nights classic, starring Adam in the title role. In this film, the genie's lamp is a 3D printer, the princess is a socialite, and Macaulay Culkin plays a rebel called Ralph. Adam spoke to Milq about how the movie The Room is like cubism of the mind, why Fellini is a surrealist master, and writing songs with Kimya Dawson when she was still his babysitter. Catch Adam on tour with the film and the concurrent release of its soundtrack. Find his tour dates here, and follow Adam on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
