Death is easy, comedy is hard. Or something along those lines. This is according to actors. In some of the scenes that follow, death and comedy are wedded. pulling that off is for me the supreme achievement.
But certainly not all of them are funny. It is a remarkable thing to imagine yourself into the ultimate mystery. The finest examples seem to be executed with the lightest touch, in the most oblique fashion.
In any event, scenes of the final moment call upon the best from actors and open all kinds of doors to the viewer. There are a lot of ways to die.
On a side note, I have often wondered what actor has died the most times on screen......anyway...
