All of Pynchon's novels have teemed with cultural references, but his latest, Bleeding Edge, takes it to a new level, truly using a scene from a film or a lyric from a song as an adjectival short-cut, painting an entire picture in your mind. Many of them sent me to YouTube to check out what the heck he was talking about. All this led me here: to creating a bead tracing the songs and scenes that run through this genius work.
